Banned Book Club!

 

This online book club is for teens who have completed 8th-12th grades. We will discuss 3 books that have been banned or removed from library shelves. Members can comment and discuss the books online-no need to leave home, and you can do it anytime, anywhere! The open discussion for each title will last 2 weeks.  Copies of each book can be borrowed from the library and will be available to pick up one week before the discussion date begins. Joining the club and discussing the books is easy & earns points for prizes!  Remember to keep comments clean and respectful of other readers. The library reserves the right to delete comments that do not meet the guidelines.

The three titles to be discussed and their beginning discussion dates are:

· The Absolutely True Diary of a Part-Time Indian by Sherman Alexie (June 2)

 

 

· My Butt, the Earth, and Other Big Round Things by Carolyn Mackler (June 23)

 

 

 

 

 

· Persepolis by Marjane Satrapi (July 14)
